This policy covers crowncampaignconsulting.com (the "site"), operated by Crown Campaign Consulting, a division of Cinder and Crown LLC, Dallas, Texas ("we", "us"). It describes what the site actually collects. If the site changes, this page changes with it.
1. What we collect
We collect only what you type into the application form, plus the minimum needed to stop abuse.
- Application form: full name, email, phone (optional), your role, office sought, race type, district or county, party, election date (optional), campaign budget range, the services you select (optional), who referred you (optional), any notes you write (optional), and the time you submitted.
- Consent record: that you agreed to this policy and the Terms of Use, and the date of these documents at the time.
- Abuse protection: to limit repeat submissions, we store a one-way keyed hash of your IP address (not the address itself) with a timestamp. It cannot be reversed to your IP address by reading it, and it is not linked to your application.
- Hosting logs: our host, Vercel Inc., processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser type, and requested page) to deliver and secure the site, under its own policies.
2. What we do not collect
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. No third-party fonts, widgets, or embeds.
- No cookies for visitors. The only cookie on the site is a sign-in cookie for the owner's private dashboard, set only after the owner logs in.
- No payment information.
3. How we use it
- To read and decide on your application. A person reviews every application.
- To sort applications, the dashboard computes an internal fit score from the race details you provide (such as race type, location, budget, party, and timing). The score is a sorting aid only. A person makes every decision.
- To contact you personally if we decide to discuss your race. There are no automated replies or mailing lists.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We do not share applications with campaigns, parties, or other consultants. Data is stored with our hosting and storage provider (Vercel Inc., United States) only to run the site. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
5. How long we keep it
- Applications are deleted 24 months after submission unless we have engaged with you on that race, in which case they become part of the engagement record.
- Abuse-protection markers are deleted after 2 days.
- You can ask us to delete your application at any time (section 7).
6. Security
Applications are stored in private, access-controlled storage, sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and readable only through a password-protected owner dashboard. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and Texas privacy rights
Consistent with Texas law, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act where it applies, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and get a copy of it in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling (we do none of these).
Email nicholas.will@cinderandcrown.com with the subject "Privacy request", the name and email you used on the form, and what you are asking for. We may ask you to confirm the request from that email address. We respond within 45 days, free of charge. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying with the subject "Privacy appeal"; we answer appeals within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Office of the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
8. Children
The site is meant for adults involved in campaigns. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
